Anna Wayt's
Biography

AnnaUNTSenior(18of34).JPG

Anna Wayt (b.1999 in Longview, Texas) is an American artist known for her pursuit in drawing, painting, and photography, which began in 2013 at Hallsville High School. She graduated from Hallsville ISD in 2017, and left to pursue a degree at the University of North Texas in Denton.

At first, she declared her major to be a BFA in Photography, but as time went by, she fell out of love with the thought of having a degree in photography. In spring of 2020, a year before graduation, she decided to switch her major to be in Drawing and Painting. This was her ultimate passion, and she wanted to perfect her craft as much as she could before she graduated.

However, 2020 set a tone for the entire world; COVID-19 hit, and everything, including school, was shut down. Every single class for her last year was online learning. As an artist, it challenged her to tackle studio art remotely. It was a challenging year for her mental health and learning ability, but she pushed through and conquered online learning by graduating at the end of April, 2021 with her BFA in Drawing and Painting.

She intends to go back to college at UNT to obtain her Masters degree in Art History by studying ancient Mediterranean art.

She currently has an internship in her hometown at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts.
