My Artist Statement
When photographing, I surround myself in a rural or urban environment. This could include people, animals, and their environments. I would also work on my landscape photos by traveling to different national parks to photograph each park’s unique beauty. I tend to look at objects and places differently than others. I capture the unseen and overlooked so that it may finally be seen from my point of view. Documentation, abstraction, and landscapes is where I am and where I want to be as a photographer. It is my job to show my unique perspective and style to the world.

For painting and drawing, I tend to look at photographs and recreate them on a canvas or paper in my own unique style. I try not to copy the reference exactly, even if I had taken the photograph, because every time I make something, I want there to be a slight difference.
