When I create art, I have a set purpose in mind for each piece I create. Most of my art is about self discovery and expression. An artist I have always resonated with is Frida Kahlo. I resonate with her because I enjoy drawing and painting myself. Frida explains that she paints self-portraits because she is so often alone, and she is the person she knows best. The same can be said for me as a person and as an artist. I am often alone, and the only person I truly connect to is myself.

Other ideas I focus on are more abstract. This way the viewer can connect with a piece on a more emotional level based on their own personal experiences.
